Shepler Refrigeration’s re-consignment policy is that once a shipment is in transit, it is possible that new fees will be charged to the customer if there is a change in the delivery address.
Re-Delivery:
If a carrier attempts delivery and is unable to deliver for reasons that are within your control, re-delivery fees may apply. Cancellation / Refused Orders: It is Shepler Refrigeration’s policy that customers will be responsible for any additional charges if any, or all of your order is refused for any reason. Typical fees may include the full amount of round-trip shipping and handling fees, as well as any applicable restocking fees.
*Orders that are refused due to freight damage are excluded from this statement. Customers that need to cancel an order must contact Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. immediately. All orders cancelled prior to shipment will be terminated without charge.
Customers are responsible for round-trip freight and expenses for any items that are shipped prior to the product cancellation notification. Inspection Guidelines: The manufacturers that Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. chooses to work with go to great lengths to ensure that items are packaged properly and inspected before shipment. Even at these great lengths damage and loss can occur.
It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect the following:
  • Verify that all shipments match the freight carrier's documentation (number or pieces, skids, etc.)
  • Visually inspect the packaging for signs of damage. Note any damage on the freight carrier’s documentation.
  • Customers of Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. may refuse any shipment received with damage or if the number of pieces received does not match the number of pieces on the freight carrier's documentation. Please note any discrepancies or damage on freight carrier’s documentation and call Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. immediately.
  • It is the right of Shepler Refrigeration’s customers to conduct a full inspection of all deliveries received. If the freight carrier refuses to remain on-site for the inspection, note on the driver's documentation that the driver did not permit a full inspection.
  • If concealed damage is discovered, contact the freight carrier and request the carrier or agent of the carrier do an inspection. Contact Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. immediately and save all packaging of the damaged product.
  • Your signature on the freight carrier's documentation acknowledges that the shipment was received in good condition and absent of damage or shortages.
  • *Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. will not be responsible for damaged shipments that were signed for and accepted in good condition.
    *It is the customer’s responsibility to contact Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. with 48 hours of receiving any damaged products.
    State Sales Tax:
    Shepler Refrigeration, Inc. is not responsible for collecting sales tax on any refrigeration product purchase. Customers shipping to Washington State will be charged the applicable sales tax rate.
